my trip to Exmouth

I thought I would post some photos up from my trip up to Exmouth the day after Christmas. Exmouth is about a 17-hour drive north from Perth and it's known for it's warm weather and nice spots for snorkling. On the way up, me and the three of my friends who I went with, decided to stop in a national park called Karijini. It's known for it's goregous(ha!) gorges and natural pools that formed in the bottom of them. We actually hiked down into the bottom of them and swam in a little oasis. It was incredible, one of those times during your life when you questioin whether what you are experiencing is real or not. The photo of the beach is where we went snorkling, it's called Turquiose Bay and again, absolutely beautiful. I didn't want to get out of the water, so many fish and beautiful coral, I even spotted a couple sea turtles and swam after them.
Monday evening I went with a couple of my friends who I went up north with, Simon and Sian, to a Christian camp that was for college students. There's an organization at the universities here called the Christian Union and it's sort of like a christian outreach on the different uni's around Perth. I really enjoyed the speaker Monday night and was excited to learn about another opportunity to reach non-christian students in Perth. Tuesday was my day off, so I spent the day with my friend Sian again and we ventured down to the beach. We, unknowingly, fell asleep on the beach and woke up a little red. Bad move on our part. Me and some of the girls from church had our weekly Bible study last night, we're doing it on a book called "A Beautiful Offering", it's great, I strongly recommend it.
Something that has been really confronting for me the last couple of days is the idea of having a real hunger and thrist for God. If you think about it, when you're hungry or thristy, you immediately go for something to eat or drink. In the same way, when we are feeling low spiritually, we should go to God for him to quinch our hunger. But so often we turn to other things, things that leave us feeling more empty afterwards. Going straight to the source, God, will fulfill our needs every time. The more and more we go to him, the more and more we fall in love with him. It seems so easy, right?

I really liked the pictures of your trip to Exmouth, ESPECIALLY the beautiful picture of Turquiose Bay! If I were there with you, this is where you and I would spend a lot of time, as you know how much I love the beach!!
Love you!! Mom
Loved the pictures! Sounds like you are having a wonderful time.
Hope you got the pictures I sent of McKayla. She is a precious little wonder! I prayed so hard that everything would be OK and it looks good so far.
Love you so much!

Hi Again Sweetie!
I really did NOT want to be "anonymous" as indicated in my first note on here! I know you must have gotten a big laugh out of that! I'm trying to learn how to work these blog pages--it's all new to me! Anyway, I have come back to your blog site so many times in the last couple of days, just looking at the pictures of the beautiful scenery, and of YOU!! Plus, I love reading everyone's comments and seeing who the comments come from. Love you bunches! Mom
I'm glad you posted the pictures. I thought I was going to have to wait until you get back to see pictures of your big adventure! I've already told you I'm jealous of it... :)
I am so jealous about what all you are getting to experience and see. While you are out at sea chaing the sea turtles, I'm in a boring classroom listening to a three hour lecture!! No really, I am so excited and love hearing about what you do on a daily basis. Now I actually know what to pray for when I pray for you! I had an "I love the Duties" moment yesterday. I was dusting (yes-believe it or not) and I picked up my Duty family portrait frame that ya'll gave me for graduation and it made me smile so much. I moved it beside my bed so I could see it more often and think lovely thoughts of you!! I love you and I'll keep praying. I know you are doing awesome things but I still miss you a lot!! Sarah
Okay, I'm confused how my username got changed to cousin sarah but this is sarah rieder. I'm not sure if you have a cousin named sarah or not but if you do I am sorry. Somehow I signed in and this was what it displayed my comment under. For future reference, I'll type my name in just in case. Sorry.
