truckin along

This is supposed to be my light week, but so far it's been pretty busy. I'm trying to pace myself, seeing as I have lots of major events coming up, but for the moment I'm just taking it one day at a time. I'm doing work on the computer and then I'm motivating myself to go out and try and get some businesses to sponsor our Quiz Night. The major thing is that we need prizes, so I'm hoping that some local organizations can hook us up with some donations.
The weekend was good, Saturday I gave blood for a study that my friend Qing Qing is doing, the study is on polycystic ovaries, so she needs like over 100 females to participate. Then I spent most of the day inside, watching tv and just having a few hours to myself. Saturday night Josh, Hayley, Amy and I went and saw "Inside Man", which was pretty good, there were lots of twists in the plot, I always tend to get really nervous in those types of movies because I can't ever figure out what's going on. Sunday was another combined service with the Perth church and afterwards we all went and played Super Golf. It's like regular golf but with oversized clubs and balls, it was a blast! I am offically the worst golfer, but I enjoyed searching in the woods for my ball, I actually thought it was comical after a while. But surprizingly enough, me and Hayley's combined scores were lower than the guys, so I guess we didn't do too aweful. Sunday night, Amy and I went to the Mt. Lawly church for a singing night and a bit of fellowship. Monday, I met Josh for lunch and we sorted out what needed to be done this week and afterwards, I met Amy and helped her practically renovate her new room. We were scrapping things off the wall, painting, plastering...you name it, we did it. (Trading Spaces, watch out!) Monday evening, Cath, Hayley and I, along with some of the guys from our missions class got together and had Mexican and watched a movie, "The Kingdom of Heaven"- it's about the crusades. We thought it might come in handy with our class. Tuesday was a work day for me, I spent all day at home, on the computer and preparing for my class. Wednesday I had BSF in the morning and then I met Cath in the city for lunch. Afterwards, I walked to Quantas and tried to switch my flight so I actually have a week on the east coast when I leave Perth. I would like to check out Brisbane and Sydney before I come home, so I have to wait and see if my ticket covers that. We'll see what the travel agency messages back. And last night was prayer group at the Nevill's, I had about an hour to catch up with Sam before he went to work and then I helped Joyce get dinner ready. We had a full house for dinner; Joyce, Peter, Josh, Hayley, Helen, Darienne and myself. Luckily we had plenty of food to go around.
I can't believe Easter is almost here...where does the time go? Easter is different in Australia: instead of plastic easter eggs that people fill up with candy, all of their easter eggs are made of chocolate and they are HUGE! And people go crazy buying them; they act as if it's like the one time of year they can shovel in the chocolate. I guess it's kinda like Halloween, but since they don't celebrate that holiday, Easter will do! Bring on the chocolate!

Um, you can disregard my email question about easter eggs, as I had not read this post when I wrote it! :)
